先行発売致し、大変ご好評いただきました「HOWL002」ですが、Naval watch オリジナル仕様を販売致します。

Barkoutsiders　と「NAVAL WATCH」と作るHOWLラインの第二弾ですが、Naval Watch ロゴを文字盤に入れ、外周の12ポイントインデックスの形状を▼へ変更し、時分針のルミナスカラーを外周ルミナルカラーと異なるグリーンへ変更した仕様になります。

Following the overwhelming success of the previously released "HOWL002," we are now offering a Naval Watch original version.

This is the second release in the HOWL line created in collaboration with Barkoutsiders and "NAVAL WATCH." The Naval Watch logo is added to the dial, the shape of the 12-point index on the outer edge has been changed to a triangle (▼), and the luminous color of the hour and minute hands has been changed to a different green than the outer luminous color.

今回HOWL002のコンセプトは”大人が付けたくなるミリタリーウォッチ”です。

The concept of HOWL002 is “a military watch that adults truly want to wear.”

1960代後半から70年代中頃までベトナム戦の時代にアメリカで各社時計メーカーが米軍から要請を受けて納品していたGG-W-113をベースにしています。

It is based on the GG-W-113, which was supplied by various American watchmakers to the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era, from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s.

元々は実戦での使いやすさから手巻きムーブメントやアルミケースでの軽量性が求められました。

Back then, ease of use in the field was essential, so a hand-wound movement and lightweight aluminum cases were required.

今回のコラボレーションウォッチではボディケースとケースバックと其々をデザインから起こした重厚なステンレスケースを使い、TMI社の機械式ムーブメントと日本での生産といったハイエンドなミリタリーウォッチをイメージしています。

For this collaboration watch, we designed a robust stainless steel case and case back from scratch, equipped it with a mechanical movement from TMI, and are producing it in Japan—envisioning a truly high-end military watch.

蓄光塗料のルミナスも前回からアップデートして頂き、アイボリーのビンテージ感と相まり最高の仕上がりになると思います。

The luminous paint has also been upgraded from the previous model, giving it a beautiful ivory-toned vintage feel that will result in an exceptional finish.

デザインに関しては昔からベトナム戦のミリタリーウォッチが好きで買っている中で其々のブランドに一長一短がありましたのでそれを自分なりに融合させました。

In terms of design, I’ve long collected Vietnam War–era military watches. Each brand had its strengths and weaknesses, so I fused the best elements together in my own way.

米軍実物だとサイズが小さすぎたり、ケースバックはこっちのブランドが良かったり、現行のものだと機械式ではなくチープ過ぎたり、其々の違いを基に自分は何が欲しいのかを考えてきました。

With authentic U.S. military pieces, the cases were often too small, while another brand might have had a better case back, and modern versions sometimes feel too cheap without a mechanical movement. Based on these differences, I’ve thought deeply about what I truly want in a watch.

自分自身40代になり誠実な作りである事や、シンプルなんだけど心地よくファッショナブルであることを時計に求めて行くと実は選択肢がなくなってくる。そう感じる方も多いのではないでしょうか？

Now in my 40s, I find myself seeking sincerity in craftsmanship—something simple yet comfortable and stylish. But when it comes to watches, the options suddenly become limited. I believe many people feel the same way.

そんな自分みたいな大人の方が欲しくなるようなミリタリーウォッチになると素敵だと考えて企画を進めています。

That’s why I’m developing this project: to create a military watch that grown-ups like myself would genuinely want to wear.
